Beatrix Potter

We are going to be visiting the Lake District, where Beatrix Potter lived and wrote her books about Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, and Tom Kitten.  We are going to be staying at a bed and breakfast in Windermere.

• Beatrix Potter Gallery
• Hilltop Farm

The World of Beatrix Potter

There are lots of things to see and do here.  There are 3-D displays of all the characters from her 23 books, a Peter Rabbit Garden and a tea room.  At the tea room we can have high tea!

Beatrix Potter Gallery

The gallery has some of Beatrix Potter's original paintings and drawings.  The building used to be her husband's office.

Hill Top

Hill Top is Beatrix Potter's house.  It has been kept like it was when she lived there.  There is a big garden.

Tonight we watched the movie Miss Potter, which is about Beatrix Potter's life.  It was filmed in the Lake District.  It looked very nice and I look forward to visiting.
